Hamburger Baked Potato Recipe



Hamburger Baked Potato 


Well, here we go. I finally caved in to making this recipe because of all the requests. I just did not get around to adding this baked potato because of its simplicity. 

When it comes to the perfect topping for it, it becomes a personal thing. When I serve this to my friends at a party or just a get-together, I keep all the toppings in other plates so everyone can grab a hot potato and add what you want. To make it even better I had a small portable toaster oven at the end of the table set to grill and in about two minutes or so, every potato toppings was grilled to perfection.

Recipe;

2 - Large baking potatoes

2 - Kilos ( 1 1/2 lbs.)  Medium ground beef.

1 Sm. - Diced onion
1 Tbsp. - Olive oil
1/4 Cup. - Red hot red peppers.
2 Cloves - Garlic
2 Tsp. - Meat spice ( add your favorite)


Toppings
1/3 Cup - Light cheddar cheese
1/4 Cup - Green onions.
1 Cup - Shredded lettuce
Sour cream - As needed
Cherry tomatoes - Chopped or on the side

Go ahead and add whatever topping to this hamburger base. Here I am adding some hot red peppers to the meat base, this will give it some deep spicy flavor. 










Make sure that you poke the potato in a few spots to let out the steam when baking. This makes it bake faster and more evenly. If you prefer not to use aluminum foil for the baking, then rub some cooking oil on the potato and bake it. 







To give the meat a full flavor, I use Medium ground beef. The fat content will keep it moist and flavourful. If you want to use lean meat, you can, but do not over cook it. 










I am using a lighter cheddar cheese here for a little bit of weight control. But you can really use any type of cheese you like.











The usual way is to slice the potato halfway down the middle. The problem I see with this is, that by slicing it into fours will allow you to add more topping.

Cancer Causing Foods: to Avoid


A list of unhealthy foods which have been linked to cancer, and some healthy tips and advice. 

1. Cancer rates are getting higher all around the world, as more and more people are suffering with this disease. 

2. This has been linked to eating unhealthy foods for a number of years, as well as having an unhealthy life style.

3. In order to reduce the risk of cancer, you should stop eating these foods as much as possible and replace them with healthy fruits, seeds, herbs and vegetables.

4. The following list of foods should be avoided, especially later in life, as the risk of cancer increases with age. 

Microwave Popcorn: This has been linked to lung cancer due to the diacetyl contained within the artificial butter, and a chemical called PFOA which is used to line the bags. These chemicals are both toxic to humans.

Processed Red Meats: Foods such as salami, bacon, ham and minced beef pork or lamb increase the risk of bowel, stomach and pancreatic cancer. This happens because of the preservatives such as sodium nitrates and excessive salts which are added.

Potato Chips: Also known as crisps, these contain acrylamide. This is a carcinogen which can increase the risk of cancer and neurological disorders.  It is also found in cigarettes.

Canned Foods: These are an excellent way of preserving food. However the cans are often lined with BPA. This is a toxic chemical which can leech into the foods, including baby foods. 

Bread: Foods high in white flour such as bread and pastries contain large amounts of starchy carbohydrates. This slows the body’s digestion process and over time can cause weight gain and increased risk of cancer.

Refined Sugar: High amounts of sugar in your diet, spikes your insulin levels and can cause not only cancer, but diabetes and a host of other infections such as candida fungal overgrowth in the bowels. 

Pickled foods: These have been shown to increase the risk of colon cancer, because of the food additives which are contained within.  They can also increase the growth of existing tumours because of the nitrates that are found inside. 

Ice Cream: Eating too much ice cream and dairy products causes lots of inflammation in the body. This may cause you to get colds very often and lower your immune response, making it harder to stay healthy, and cancer free.

Hydrogenated Oils: Cheap varieties of oils found in supermarkets contain high a mounts of omega 6 which is not healthy for your body. Be sure to switch to healthy extra virgin oils, such as coconut, olive, avocado or flaxseed.

5. It can be very easy to fall into the habit of eating foods such as these on a daily basis. In order to work around this, begin to switch foods to healthy alternatives.

6. Fresh raw foods are always healthier to eat, as the body naturally knows how to process these properly.

7. I recommend eating lots of fresh berries on a regular basis, such as blackberries, raspberries, blueberries, gooseberries etc… These contain high amounts of antioxidants which fight the cause of cancer.

8. Many of the herbs, seeds and nuts seen in our other videos also lower inflammation in the body and make you feel much better. 

9. Leafy greens such a Kale, Spinach, Turnip Greens, Beetroot Greens, Romaine lettuce and others, are all extremely healthy and will work to reduce the risk of cancer significantly.

10. Also try to drink green tea often. This contains catechins which prevent free radicals from damaging cells. If you do not like the taste, add some lemon, peppermint, or berries to enhance the flavour.

Turmeric Water Everyday (Benefits)


The health benefits of drinking turmeric water every day and a simple recipe to use at home. 

1. Turmeric is well known as a delicious spice, but it also has some fantastic health benefits which you may not be aware of.

2. This golden coloured root is known as the queen of spices and has been used as a natural medicine for over 4000 years.

3. You can drink turmeric powder in a glass of water every day to boost your health and heal many problems in the body.

Recipe: You Will Need

500ml of Spring Water
1 Teaspoon of ground Black Pepper
1 Teaspoon of organic ground turmeric.



Method: Simply mix these ingredients in pan and simmer for 5 minutes. Allow this to cool slightly and drink every morning before breakfast. 

It is very important that you use organic turmeric, as some cheaper varieties are not as effective.

The peppercorns are also included to allow your body to absorb the curcumin which is contained inside the powder.

If you do not like the taste, be sure to add a little raw honey for sweetness.

4. Curcumin is a very powerful compound within turmeric. This has been scientifically proven to be stronger than many medical drugs, for fighting diseases and infections.

5. Drinking this every day is excellent for those who suffer with depression, as it has been shown to be stronger than Prozac yet is completely natural.  It does this by boosting serotonin and dopamine neurotransmitters in the brain. 

6. Turmeric is also very anti-inflammatory and is stronger than aspirin and ibuprofen. This lowers the risk of arthritis, high cholesterol and stomach ulcers.

7. In fact, many problems in the body are caused by inflammation. By eating herbs and spices such as this, you can begin to feel much healthier in a short period of time.

13. If you prefer, you can purchase a turmeric or curcumin supplement which also contains bioperine. This extra ingredient allows the body to absorb the curucmin more effectively, in the same way peppercorns do.

14. Turmeric also contains a healthy dose of potassium, calcium, iron, vitamin c, vitamin b-6 and magnesium.

15. If you suffer with headaches often, you will find that this drink can reduce the pain significantly, as it works in the same way as aspirin does. 

16. This also works in detoxing the liver, and flushing out waste from the body. Some people may find that this gives them diarrhea. If this is the case, be sure to lower the dose to half a teaspoon a day.
